Your store is unique. Your book selection should be, too.

The AWB Way American West Books History In 1993, at age 19, American West Book’s founder Joshua Blake Mettee took a local California publisher’s 23 book titles on consignment and started making cold calls on independent bookstores, museums, and gift shops. Today, American West Books is a major, nationwide supplier to warehouse clubs, specialty grocers, and national booksellers. What makes AWB different? American West Books has two competitive advantages, the first is a devoted staff who treat both our customers and our vendors like they themselves would like to be treated. The other is our ability to identify a geographical or demographical market for a book or other product and to place it in that retail market at an individual store level or coast-to-coast. We call it “tailored wholesaling.” Our past success has been exemplary, but we’re more excited about the future of our business as we continue to help our partners succeed. We welcome you to become a part of our ever-growing list of vendors and retailers. What kind of books and products do we sell? American West Books sells books and unique products including maps, puzzles, games, and more. Where is American West Books located and how can I contact you?
